After-School Program Jobs
Program Leaders and Program Assistants are required for a variety of recreation/social skills programs for children and youth in Toronto’s east-end communities of Flemingdon Park and Thorncliffe Park.
All staff will be responsible for supervising groups of children/youth, as well planning, implementing and evaluating well rounded, creative programs emphasizing safety, self-esteem building and skills development. Leaders will also be responsible for supervising junior staff and volunteers. All staff will be required to attend department training programs and regular staff meetings.
Program Leader (After School Programs) - 5 Positions

$13.00 - $14.80 per hour |

25 hours per week; program runs from 3-6pm from Monday to Friday. Position begins September 17th, 2007 and ends June 20th, 2008 |
|
| Required Skills and Experience |
- experience working directly with and programming for children and/or youth aged 6 to12, especially those with behaviour problems and social skills deficits
- experience supervising staff/volunteers/student placements
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- first-aid certification an asset
- knowledge of Flemingdon Park or Thorncliffe Park communities or experience with Moorelands Programs an asset
